to me personally it's a little hilarious to hear all the same shit about AI art that has been whined about digital art in general basically since PS came about. these be tools of your trade, ppl. if you want to compete - learn to use them. OR(!!) simply do your own thing better. if it's about AI stealing art jobs - monetary "success" in art has always been more about networking, entrepreneurship & marketing than technical skill. art, among other things is in itself for many just a tool to get paid. people work hard to optimize these pipelines. if it's about plagiarism - what would art even be if artists didn't "steal"? look at your works and tell me you're so detached that you can't recognize any traces of your influences. if technology can speed up plagiarizing your work - it will be used. if you try to protect your art against "AI piracy" - you're also limiting your own works' ultimate reach & impact. there's no real ways to do these things effectively without limiting access and hindering your own exposure. one way or another AI is coming, and AI art is already here. tools will get better, tech and software will evolve. at some point AI-based tech will likely be advanced enough to be able to generate unrecognizable, unique, innovative styles and scenes, just like the art it's being inspired by right now. AI is here, we have to learn to compete & thrive with AI tools or accept that human creativity's been solved in a lifeless box and creatives are really not much more than brands.
