The Tesla AI Team consists of hundreds of people who want to make the world better and, above all, safer. The decision to omit radar primarily makes it safer. a radar sensor costs about $6. So what. The newer Cameras they now user cost more like 30 to 40$ for them..
You don't quite understand. Cameras are much more accurate then radar. Because radar gives no context to the data. But vision does have all the information.
I man.. Do you use Radar while driving? Are you having a radar sensor in your forehead?
For sure. No radar can be more dangerous now. But lontemr its more dangerouse to let it in. But till then its all obout the software.
