TLDR: AI is not to help you work less or any of that bullshit, it's to make rich people more rich by cutting the middleman that you were ;) For all the rest enjoy the read xD AI is made by companies that just want to earn cash from it. And don't get wrong idea because there are some free models. Those are free because of few factors: - Free models are not really production ready just yet - Often worse quality and resolution - When something is free, you are the product - meaning you help supply populat keywords to the AI, helping devs understand what people generating art need, for further development Once they have it figured out, they will start release corporation class models, for various fields, cutting the costs for corporations, and therefore heavily cutting the need of humans. Of course you can go with times as they say, and learn to use AI before others do, and use it yourself. But ultimately it doesn't matter because it still benefits model creators, and saving yourself you only play right into their hands feeling like you won life, but you just lost it bit less than the rest. Of course some will say if you're good enough, you will make it, art will transform, it will become better. And yes I agree to an extend on this of course, as it can become great asset, like to generate concepts from vague ideas, and then pursue to build on them, working more efficiently. To change existing artwork to find out what you could do differently, and in this way expanding your own horrizon as an artist. AI have it's pros and cons, and we did checkmate ourselves into not needing it, because due to hype, none did read words of criticisn towards AI, dismissing it as some nonsense people were feed the beautifull lie that AI cannot be dangerous to artists, and hate to vreak it to you, but it was simple marketing move, to make artists contribute to it more, to use beta versions, to make AI better. Now more and more "Artists" are more of a client to AI company than actual artists, because you order an artwork with a phrase, just you pay less than your clients do. But there is another step to it, when AI will be mature enough, and it will be more widely introduced to people, so then Artists reduced to middleman in art trade will be no longer needed, because AI will learn on you all, what people expect when typing phrases to the AI. Then after you will be out of commisions, everyone will criticize you for ever wanting to making a living with art, because you're supposed to be doing this because you love it sooooo much, and not because of cash xD Then you will try apply to some call center because of no better work experience, and will find out that chat AI is doing better XDDDD Want me to continiue?
