So as a disabled artist I have several negative opinions about the whole "AI makes it easier for disabled people" line. 1) I have to pay for any “good” AI generator, which means less money to tend my disabilities and other necessities; paper/canvas and pen/paint/ink/brushes is damn cheap, and programs like Gimp, Krita, and Ibis are _free to use_ and do allow me to import ref images through copy-paste. 2) Any “good AI” I could hope to use demands a fee for _images I'd have to correct before even attempting to use as a reference_ — and we're not even getting into the goofy free ones — and as someone with arthritis in their drawing hand? ABSOLUTELY NOT. I'm not going to correct someone else's kark up just so I can do stuff of my own. 3) How is me having to pay a lot of money for trash “helping” me? It's actively taking money away from me, c'mon AI bros, use your brains. 4) Y'all don't speak _for_ me, stop trying to speak _about_ me like you know something. Also on the topic of "reeeeee digital art is cheating too!" digital art is just saving me some paper and saving more trees, pipe down and go back to your binky, AI bros, you clearly don't go here. 🤷🏻
