As someone trained as hypnotherapist, this happened due to the environment which Zane exist. Easy access to gun (Glock), depression medication that enable reliant on the med so much ( focus not to cure but to forget temporarily the trauma/ emotional pain) and parents who maybe impose strict rules/ discipline/ overly protective and high expectants without compassion (tough love with no explanation on why). I am not trying to discredit anyone, it just that hopefully we can find solutions to this problem of getting technology as confidant. Campus life and CS course may also another factor that Zane perhaps having stress about and we do not know if he got relationship with someone. Its a challenging life we are in, so please be kind.
