He wasn't dumb. He was tricked by tech bros and experts in psychology who designed these chatbots to utilize the same techniques sociopaths use to manipulate people into an addiction or obsession.
Older folks are falling for deepfakes cuz they weren't exposed to computers until they were already adults. Gen alpha is falling for chatbots cuz they've been conditioned by the chatbots at a very young age to accept AI as a friend.
Gen x, millennials, and z grew up in line with the technological advancement so we are conditioned to recognize signs of artificial manipulation since our brains basically developed alongside the bad CGI.
