I'm 22 years old, and for over 12 years of my life i have been practicing and sharpening my art skills. I've been doing my best to break into the industry, and haven't gone to school yet as it is expensive. I've poured every bit of my soul into my art- uncountable hours have been spent honing my craft with the support of my family. It's devastating for people like me who have a burning passion for the visual arts to have to contend with something so soulless- to feel like you haven't even started your career and already the spot you were hoping to be given has been handed off to a nebulous thing- something that isn't even human. That isn't even getting into the situation with the late master Kim Jung Gi (may he rest in peace). That was already devastating and infuriating to me and countless others. I really don't want to hate the technology, but it's been steadily getting more difficult. The thing gives me hope is that AI doesn't have a soul, but we do; we control how much love goes into our work and it shows, so i can only hope that my fellow artists feel this way as well and don't get discouraged- your best work is to come, and the only power people that try and dampen your spirit have is the power you give them. Don't lose hope.
