from my pov: ai is used mostly as fast cashgrab and has little to no future with current use,
generative ai contributes almost nothing to faking photos and voices
making generative ai without stealing is impossible with current programming approach
most of ai pictures look lifeless even after polishing its skills
gen-ai coming out is completely different to photography debut, it tries to replace artists instead of adding more ways of expression, simultaneously enabling everyone not willing to put time and effort into profiting from expressing ideas (in case of photography you need to find landscape you wish to show or at least create miniature of it, you need to physically work for the photo or look out for good frames to capture them, with ai its just writing one prompt and clicking a button)
