@pppppffffffmmmmmmmnnit's a matter of concept, a computer brain powered by AI can use cameras to track multiple targets and can predict threats based on those perceived threats the AI needs to react. Whether LIDAR or Radar or Visual input, it still needs to take in what it's seeing to act in the appropriate time frame, if visually there is a fence but lidar sees right through it there is no fence then LIDAR is blind. Each technology has it's limitations, how you program around it is what makes it effective.
