The term Luddite originally referred to English textile workers who protested the early technological innovations of the industrial revolution by destroying machinery due to concerns about new technology improving efficiency for the owning class at the expense of work and pay (and safety) for actual human workers as well as a reduction in the overall quality of the products. To say it's just somebody who hates technology is so reductive and the parallels to the current AI bubble are hilarious; if I were you, I'd wear that label with pride.
