I think the most dangerous part about waymos or other self driving vehicles is: AI taking away human jobs, and also their data being bought up by police and used to harm civilians and protestors. Far right groups already take advantage of recording and doxing protestors within their circles. Police and the FBI sometimes incentivize turning in protestors information for money. In a nation where it is becoming harder to simply exist for lgbt+, poc, and immigrants; we deserve our right to protest safely without fear. And we deserve our right to not be surveilled by corrupt institutions of power. We also deserve our right to not have one of the best freelancing jobs taken over by AI. There are so many good hardworking people just trying to make a living. I agree that ride sharing can be dangerous especially for women and there needs to be more precautions taken by these companies to protect our riders.
