That's the dumbest argument I've ever fucking heard. TBH, there are obvious difference between Digital and traditional art. Smudge isn't one of them. I used to work in charcoal during my years before I switched to 3D medium, and one thing I'll say is different and that gives Digital artists massive advantage though is Ctrl + Z. Being able to completely go back a step without leaving a trace is so fucking powerful it's actually crazy. But that's about it. You still need to sketch, do linework, then paint over it. AI on the other hand, just generates it.
