Bernie,
Do you think humanity will have truck drivers in the year 2100? What about 2050? 2030? Where is it OK for these jobs to go away?
Is that the future you want ? We stagnate and just keep mining oil and driving trucks forever?
Do you want humans working in factories on a supply line or a factory line, losing fingers or arms or their lives? Americans aren’t doing these jobs anyway. They are given to illegal immigrants who work for less.
It all needs to stop.
Yes. The future will not have these jobs. Yes, they will be done by robots.
Humans will still exist and hopefully we will all have better lives.
Humans are great to adapt to change. But if you are a 20 year truck driver. Yes. It’s going to be rough.
But if you didn’t see it coming. You’ve been blind. Everyone laughed at Musk when he said we would have autopilot in 2022.
Now it’s 2026 and here is Bernie losing his mind that truck drivers and factory works could lose their jobs as this technology is likely just around the corner.
And not only did they crack self driving. But the same technology will crack general learning for their robots.
Weird. It’s like everything they said would happen. Is happening. And he drove it there. He drove that change. One man, one of his companies inspired and pushed it there. Nearly on will power alone.
Yes. We need a more efficient society. We likely need universal basic income as well.
But that’s socialist. So. You Americans are fucked.
Everyone will suffer yes, but likely the uneducated in the USA the most. While the entire world moves past you.
It seems the uneducated always vote against their own best interests. It is funny in a way.
Either that. Or you have to change. You might have to read some books and educate yourself. And quickly. China, and South Koreans are way smarter en masse than any average American. Long term or more like short term now. USA is really in trouble.
That said…
Elon did pay the largest tax bill ever. In the history of humanity.
So. I think your hate on Elon better slow the fuck down.
Imagine he wasn’t in the USA. Imagine how scary he would be in China.
Settle down the Elon hate. Seriously. The guy single handedly made electric cars real. Rockets land themselves, self driving cars. Robots that will learn in the fly. He risked it all. And he drove it there.
He deserves the wealth he has. On top of that on top of that. He’s paid the taxes to be there.
Back to my point though. Yes. This will change lives for everyone, and yes it will be for the greater good for all. But. It will take pain to get there for many people. Like truck drivers, and the uneducated.
