Did you notice the number of Tech Company Execs that were present at Pres. Trump's inauguration, it was so odd to me because I *know* that they are mostly "left-wing" when it comes to socio-political matters. I don't know what connections Pres. Trump has to them, but I believe *this* is what that was about, they see the economic potential *to themselves* from the implementation of AI, and they seek political support for that. Also, lamp-lighters were replaced with all of the infra-structure necessary to provide electricity & lighting, including factories that produce light-bulbs, *at no point* was it an exercise in replacing Human Jobs for the purpose of profit, I'm quite certain that it resulted in the opposite. The same cannot be said for AI according to the *current* plans for it's implementation, it is *fundamentally* an exercise in replacing Human Jobs for the purpose of profit, those jobs will not be replaced by anything that is more worthwhile for the typical Employed Person.
