The reason AI replacing developers is going horribly wrong IS BECAUSE WE ARE USING MODELS THAT ARE STILL “PRIMATIVE”. End of story. I just heard about Opus 4.6, and my goodness you will see pretty dramatic changes in AI getting things RIGHT with developing and coding. Companies are very much forcing the use of AI right now as they understand that using AI means you are ahead, but they dont realise that AI models are just not good enough yet to be properly productive in companies. This year, especially with the introduction to Opus 4.6, is shown to be the year where we start getting AI’s powerful enough to replace human workers, and you will likely see that.
