Yeah, those programmers dreaming about utopia is definitely scary and IMO really dumb. I mean, the whole world already have a lot of different negative consequences from social media, such as rise of depresson and suicide rates, body dysmorphia and etc. Imagine what will happen when AI will take over almost all the jobs from people, their supposed utopia with free income will not make people happier, every person that actually have some knowledge about human psychology should know that.
