Now the end of your clip is the most interesting. The crowding out impact is possible. Imagine all that power generation and transmission line expansion needed for AI data centers. Mom and Pop will be forced by the investor owned electric utilities to pay much higher rates to fund those investments. AI companies will pay only a small portion of those increases. They may close down in the future and stop paying all together. Now that will be highly inflationary. On the plus side by then most baby boomers will be dead and the 10s of trillion of dollars in net assets will flow to their children so they won't need jobs. Plus everyone can move to states where AI centers never showed up to get decent electricity rates.
