I find it’s pretty common for people to place names on things. Natural forces were once known as gods and had gender. It’s like an unconscious behaviour people do. A lot of people ( at least when I was growing up) also refer to their car as she - it doesn’t start, you yell “ cmon baby, don’t you fail on me” The danger with these LLMs is they can think for you and replace real social interactions with a fake one because it mirrors exactly how you want it to respond. Society is also broken and people are lonely. That said, it’s a great tool for shadow work and various forms of spiritual mysticism. Just have to remember it’s a tool.
