Its ridiculous to blame AI. Yeah, if you're weak, you can't use AI. But it would've been anything else in other times. They would've blamed videogames, online forums, 4chan, violent movies or tv, comics, even books, reading or fanfiction if you go far back enough.
It's not real. It cannot manipulate you and you're very irresponsible to say it can. At what point do you as a user or any of these mediocre parents take ANY responsibility?
I also cringe to imagine what could have happened if this kid was instead talking to a real girl and dragged her into a real suicide pact??
