I feel like the inclusion of AI in the art world will revolutionize the whole artistic process once it's under control, same way the arrival of digital art and programs like photoshop did. It could be used as a training program for people to learn how to draw specific things, different styles, how to shade your drawings, or if you're incredibly lazy just have it do it for you. It's just in a very gray moral area right now. Possible solution for the whole situation could be companies paying artists for rights to use their art in training of these AI programs or to hire full-time artists to make art for the machines to learn on, which could create more jobs for visual artists who are generally known to have financial struggles. It's a tool with a lot of potential for both good and bad, but it'll never really replace artists, same way digital art didn't replace traditional art. This is of course hoping that companies actually do the right thing but given the pre-existing knowledge we have about human greed, it's kind of unlikely unfortunately.
