it'll never not be funny that the ones speaking the loudest are often the extremists of both arguments making both sides look bad primarily in comment sections seeing the defenders of ai is particularly funny even though i don't pick sides they do not have many valid legs to stand on at least there is solace to be found in the fact ai art is going to be something that doesn't exactly last very long it's very much on a death trail there will be people who use it still in the future but right now ai for generating images and music is just a new toy that a bunch of people looking to make a quick buck are playing with and exploiting there'll be something new that comes along that sweeps both the investors and bag chasers off their feet soon enough and chances are it's probably soon it is simply too flawed in so many ways to ever replace even a (objectively) 'bad' artist, whether in actual quality or merely charm and it creates consistently repetitive errors also ai art 'inbreeding' is real and actively happening which is hilarious i'm overall not really leaning either side here since like it's kinda funny + it really is not that big of a deal when you think about it long term and it helps a bit to visualise an idea i just can't mentally picture due to some aphantasia but like i'd never hold it over an actual good product and most normal people won't either especially in the years ahead i feel like i've lost the plot by this point rambling done
