i definitely agree with this, but in the rare cases i do use ai, i use it for inspiration, if there is nothing that exists already like what i am looking for. Ai can be really good at sparking up new ideas for more specific things that you wouldnt be able to find otherwise. (an example being it also being really good at brainstorming name ideas) Thats the only 'real' use i can actually sparingly find though. Its good for ideas and inspirations and getting your brain going for more specific things that just dont exist yet. i definitely think that morally judging people and 'forcing' them into boycotting is shitty (i.e. 'if you use ai for anything atall ever you are a bad person and should be judged' , or a similar situation, 'if you dare publicly display your love for harry potter online it means you support jk rowling and dont care about trans people')
i think a big problem is that with some people being so obnoxiously for ai and against artists, it makes people go more and more extreme on the opposite side, which in turn makes people that are obsessed with ai even more aggressive in their stance, with no possibility for any grey area, because if you dont COMPLETELY agree with one or the other side people tend to get very madd)
