Hey! Here to give my 2 cents on the topic. I'm a web developer. As most of us in the business, I was terrified and furious about AI replacing us. Because I understand how naive and obtuse can some big tech names be when it comes to making a quick short-term profit. But now, having been using AI (Cursor AI to be precise) in my full time job and a personal project on the side for like three months: It's nowhere near replacing us. It makes some aspects of my job a bit faster, I'm not gonna lie. But there are way too many instances where I realize it's not actually "thinking" as it supposed to be doing. You can hint towards one thing, it will agree, then hint towards the opposite, and it will say you are right again. It will create convoluted processes for things that someone with only 3 years of experience in the market such as me can EASILY tell it's wrong. "AI" is a buzzword. They want people to believe it's "the end all, be all", because they kinda need it to be. But if streaming platforms took almost a decade to be profitable (and some would argue they still aren't), I don't see AI becoming fully profitable and self sufficient in decades either.
