Let's be fair. Machine learning (the so-calld "AI") is a tool, which can be used to do cool stuff or to make crap. Agreed, using any tool well takes effort, skill and knowledge - but that doens't make you an artist. That makes you a craftsman. Not an artist. Which is... respectable on itself, so why that insistence in claiming they are artists?
