While I agree that it's definitely a skill that you need to learn, I do sympathize with the commenter to some degree. I have only ever wanted to be an artist. I've drawn incessantly since I was tiny. I don't know why this happens the way it does, but I don't make progress the way others do. I will stagnate for years, even backsliding at times, despite consistent practice. At very rare random intervals I will get the hang of something and do slightly better with that one aspect after that. I don't just "improve" in general. There are few things more disheartening than seeing someone way younger than you, who has only been doing art for a couple of years show you something infinitely better than not just what you're doing now, but anything you will ever realistically be capable of. I'm by no means in favor of AI, especially in creative mediums, but I do feel the frustration of running into people that do just have a natural level of talent that you simply don't. Sometimes it doesn't matter if you work harder, put in more time, or want it more. There are some people who make steady progress as long as they work hard, but that's not true for everyone, and it sucks to be the ones that don't improve.
