I live in a smaller city…the population has slowly lowered over the 45 years I’ve been here….theres a shortage of skilled trades in the area and the ones we do have are swamped and only work for retail/commercial jobs or new installs on hvac and only specific wealthy people….the rest of us are shite out of luck….some of us have been blacklisted from access to things like hvac for heating and cooling repairs or replacement….i own a very simple home that had been squatted in for 8 years and destroyed….when I got it back, I wasn’t able to find anyone to install a furnace and ac and when my water main burst, I couldn’t find anyone who would fix it….my dad is a retired subcontractor/handyman/sign guy for the area and knows all these companies…and we still can’t hire anyone even with knowing my dad doesn’t leave bills unpaid vet and neither do I….idk what people are gonna do if this is the path the world is taking….it seems like corporations are more interested in the profits they can make for shareholders by cutting costs/ firing people….then the media pushes this idea that low income Americans are lazy and free loaders thanks to the grifters bragging about being on welfare and driving brand new cars….lying trying to create a huge divide among the people….attacking each other ehile these corporations continue to strip us of our wealth and cutting our job market to nothing by automation…police relying on ai to tell them who is guilty and who isn’t…that’s more then half the time wrong….but the police are too lazy to use their brains….no jobs means no money and no money means to purchasing….so all of this is useless to implement…unless they plan on purchasing their own garbage lol….i wish for a break away society to surface that would be a way to escape this bs world …..when is it enough profits for a corporation? Why do companies want constant growth for shareholders but never consider there’s a ceiling to everything…constant growth in profits isn’t possible…everything is finite yet here we are…destroying whole economies in the name of profits
