I work in sales and marketing. The AI you are worried about is not the AI that's coming to destroy lives. Though I'm sure AI art has taken work from artists, your points are flawed on several fronts. The first and biggest thing I don't agree with is your argument about affordability, and pointing to a stack of $9 paper. Are you really going to sit there and tell me that all art in all mediums are so cheap? Cheaper than a $60 subscription to some service like midjourney that can literally create thousands of images for you? How much am I spending in oil paints if I want to become an oil panter, and want to create half that many? Assuming of course I am skilled enough already to achieve results coming even close to it? How much are the brushes, the palettes, the fabric, the frames? Less than $60? AI in sales and marketing is rampant and continues to rip through this space. There's no stopping it. My own company has a small fleet of graphic designers who have 10x'ed their productivity and can create product images for products in ways that were impossible or very expensive with stock photography or that they had to create themselves. They are skilled enough to fix the errors, and that is really ultimately what AI is. It's a hyper enhancer. It makes a skilled person 5x faster and that is what's destroying lives. Why would I hire 5 people, if 1 person can do the work of 5?
