AI isn't really an excuse to end "public schools". Because then you would still need some public system to ensure everyone had access to that AI.
I'm sure the people who dislike public schools, would still complain about that. Whether it's from a dislike of government pushed narratives or agendas, or from wanting private schools to benefit.
Public schools have usually been a combination of education, and unfortunately a form of day care for working class families. So there's still aspects of public schools which would need to be worked out. If AI also ends up taking the amount of jobs it's predicted to take.. Well maybe people will have more time to spend educating their kids themselves with the help of AI, if we ensure people can still get by, that is.
Also.. "real history"? You mean leaving important details and context out, to whitewash history..
