@PeterHansen8 That's what the older machine learning blokes do. They have been at this for a long while now.
AlphaFold mostly shows old-school machine learning. You have a very curated data set that you absolutely do not pollute with slop and only build to crunch a specific problem. A whole bunch of very skilled humans created the dataset the system got to crunch.
These systems have been around on campus. But they are not a trillion dollar industry. They are not general-purpose slop machines.
