As a seal in shark infested water, this comment section. I enjoy AI and AI art generators have helped me a lot. Mostly for D&D. Token art has never been so easy to come by. I use to just go online and try and find what best fit. Literally taking whatever art I could find online. Now I can generate images of new characters. I can change the clothes of those characters. I can change if they are beat up or dirty. I can give them a new hair cut or fancy hat. Change the background or the lighting. All just by typing. That being said it is a skill, not one as hard as actual art. But someone with 20 hours of time spent making images with AI will have images that look WAY better than someone who is just trying AI for the first time. I wrote this comment to point out the lack of information on how these AI models work. I like watching real artist's videos talking about AI cause hearing both perspectives is nice. But people who hate AI art models learn the surface level of what they can do and never look deeper. The Simpsons and Star Wars examples are cherry picked. 90% of models would need to have the characters named for one and two, to get them that close to the movies and show those models had to be made for that soul purpose. They will never make an image they were trained on. Never. The nerdiest nerds have tried and failed. They can't recreate non-AI images this is propaganda. You can't recreate AI images unless you have a special mathematical seed and the exact same settings. Even changing the pixel count by 1 will change how the seed works making a new image. Same with the dune screencap. It's propaganda. But, if you think drawing DBZ characters for 15 years and making your own style off learning from that, and others, is better and more ethical than giving a program thousands of images each with key words manually added to describe those images so that it can learn the different types of patterns used to make "art". To each their own. But, maybe not get all your AI news from the hates AI reddit. Obviously they are going to lie to make it out to be as bad as they can. You should get your AI news from people who love it, or at the very least are indifferent. Cause they will spend the time to actually look into how it works instead of just hating it because it threatens their craft.
