Imagine you're a scientist. You grew up so fascinated with science and always wanted to learn more and more about it. You study it for years spending time, money, and using it as your outlet. You soon discover a new formula that is great for curing common sicknesses and preventing them in the future. You post it online sharing your thoughts of it to people, simply sharing.
Now say someone makes an ai. They take all of your research, studies, articles, everything you have made and put it into an AI database. Someone takes that AI and uses it to create that same formula you made, but in different words. They take that formula and sell it to people making millions and claiming it as their own, never saying an AI was even involved.
You'd be pretty mad about that right? You'd want your credit and hard work to make that formula back, not to destroy the whole AI that could be useful to the public.
Thats how artist feel about AI art.
