We had machine code, then assembly code which made machine coding obsolete. People who knew machine code, then did assembly code. Then we had higher level languages, making assembly coding obsolete, those assembly coders learned higher level languages. We now have AI which can automate high level languages, perhaps we will eventually have something like prompt coding where prompting AI becomes very well defined. High level programmers will learn to do that. Who else would do it?
