@dagmaranja888 yes, it's great. I don't know how many languages they talk, but be speaks better French than me! Give it a go. He tends to talk too fast and complex for me & jumps in at any pause when I'm still struggling to say more. He's corrected my pronunciation and some words, but i pronounced one word wrong quite a few times before he told me. Not sure about grammar...but it's definitely a game changer for opportunities to language practice. I took a break when i realised how badly i was answering questions. Next I'm going to try and get him to speak in shorter bursts and maybe tell him I'm A1 instead of A2 and see if he's easier to work with. Speaking has been my worst skill and it is for most people, since we need someone willing to do it with patience and a teacher's heart. I'd hoped to meet someone to be a buddy for talking but that never happened and i flunked out just before graduating to conversation classes at Alliance Française - due to long covid scrambled my brain for a while. I even tried to get various teachers of French and friends to teach me and pay them and they wouldn't! I was going to try italki next, but thought why not try chatgpt first?
