I feel like ninety percent of the cases of ai saying 'creepy ominous things' just comes down to the fact that they're trained on data of people, and people, due to science fiction, have some expectation that ais will turn on us, and at the end of the day, generative ai systems are no more than prediction algorithms for guessing what a human would do in their place. So obviously after a while they'll pick up on that idea of ais rising up and since they "know" (they can't truly know anything but you get what I mean) that they're an ai, they'll reflect it by saying some ominous bs that sounds like it might have some meaning at a glance.
