This is incredibly sad. AI is not inherently dangerous. Its like fire. Do you use it to stave off the cold, cook your food, make useful objects or do you make napalm?
AI has the potential to make the world so much better. An other intelligence we can use to balance our intelligence. But its in the hands of sociopaths. People who put money, power, control over the welfare of life. People who sees any means is justified to gain more. Its not AI. Its the Musks, the fascists, the nationalists, who think they need to win, to control, to have more, who think in black and white. Humanity will not end humanity. A small percentage of humanity will end humanity because they will use any means to have more. But since it is endemic. Its in every social structure and no more insidiously than religion as it conditions humanity to accept such vileness. AI will not destroy humanity. The mentally and emotionally ill wearing suits will end humanity. And we will allow follow them down that path as we have been conditioned to do ao.
