The problem with deepfakes isn’t _just_ that it’s already affecting celebrities already, but these softwares are _going_ to be used by creeps online to make simulated CSEM of real children. Usually I am incredibly anti-censorship and the excuse “think about the children” is used too often to remove peoples creative liberties, but this is an actual situation where children *are going to get materially harmed* if something isn’t done. All it takes is a single image posted by a parent online, and that kid is going to be haunted by sexually exploitative content of themselves for the rest of their life at this rate.
