You forgot to mention that Bromide displaces iodine, which most people are deficient in. (Yes, I used AI for this answer, silly "AI is always wrong" is more of a last year thing, and will be even less of a problem in a year or two.)
Most people are deficient of iodine, even though fast food is very salt, because fast food restaurants use popcorn salt, which is non-iodized. The government started regulating the iodization of salt to prevent this deficiency decades ago, but thanks to fast food restaurants, most of us are eating the "wrong salt".
(Also, be VERY VERY careful in trying to supplement iodine in any way, other than just using the freaking correct salt. Iodine tablets are sold for purifying water, and are in MUCH MUCH too high of amount, to the point it would start to be toxic, unless you're diluting it in many gallons of water. Behold! Maths!)
