Regulating AI might actually be quite innovative in a sense. Risk management might lower the chances of a catastrophic outcome which will cost lives and billions of Euros. Sometimes being slow to adopt certain madness is a good thing. Every now and then the impact for the global economy from AI is compared to the personal computer. It is a tool making my life easier from which I profit but I am not the founder of the CPU.
