I my opinion AI art is art but it's not high quality art. Now, allow me to explain before you judge what I mean by it and why AI art has a place in the art world. Art is about provoking people into talking and expressing their emotions, positive/negative. When it comes to art, it doesn't matter what tools or formats you use, whether it be digital or made from trash, if it provokes you, positive/negative, it is doing its job by getting you to think. Take this AI art as a prime example: Before anyone saw the AI art, no one would ever have thought of drawing this image, but now people are going out of their way to try a prove that AI isn't art, and yet they are doing exactly what the art is there for. It is getting them to think, be creative, and funny enough, they are all copying the AI try and make their point, and inadvertently proving AI art is art. And if you can't see it, that is your choice on how you view the world. AI art will never replace true artists, all it can do is provoke you into creating more art. So is AI art, art? Yes. You don't need to like it, but if you look at anything and it provokes you positive/negative to create something, that is art.
