I haven't watched the video yet and after I watched this I'll come back and reply to this comment, but I just wanna give my two cents, I dont think ai will destroy humanity. I don't even think the fundamental function of ai and everything that comes with it will be detrimental or damaging to society either. The only problem that ai poses now is the same problem that technological development has always posed. Which Is a lack of resources; purpose, and space. Caused by overpopulation and overcrowding. Humanity as a species has crammed as many flesh gears into this machine on earth as possible, adding a immense amount of infrastructure and system, allowing us to produce, expand, and develop as much as possible. And now for the first time in forever, weve been slowly creating and replacing more of those flesh gears with metal gears. While the flesh gear that got replaced ends up unable to earn their keep, do their part, or recieve their portion. What all of this means is not that technology or ai or any one focal point is solely or even partially to blame for the problems that occur today. It's that the problem is overpopulation. Overcrowding. Once service industry or any other simple job is no longer needed to be ran by a human, then there needs to be a revolution and/or a complete teardown reconstruction of the very system that effects every factor and second of our lives today, I'm talking about stuff like reinventing what it means to have a education system, funneling human development into technological, science, careers of that nature. With a social class and community unified as one. Along with likely abolishing the economic system to some extent, reinventing or removing capitalism altogether. When we don't need a human life to flip our burgers we as a species can focus on the more important endeavors. Instead of doing grunt work for a mundane mechanical task to keep things running smoothly
