Ultimately, he was caught doing what most AI developer firms do; over-hype their product and promise capability it might have - but doesn't yet. As they say in TV competitions: "Look what you *could* win!"
They pitch to guys with no technical knowledge and money to invest, and they listen to the words they think sound smart and throws money it them.
