I see a lot of ai bros saying that, in response to people losing their jobs to ai, is to suck it up and get a ‘real’ job like they have, like being a mechanic, builder, tradesman, or other physical labour job. I wonder what they think will happen though when all the other jobs get taken by ai, and now all those people do get the ‘real’ jobs. Suddenly you have 8x the people competing for a pool of jobs that did not get any bigger, and that’s gonna suck.
