I totally agree with you that AI art is trash, but I don't think AI is bad in general. The environmental argument is kind of hollow. While yes, with our current energy generation systems it's pretty bad, but if we decarbonized energy with things like nuclear and renewables, there wouldn't be any environmental effects.
