I'm addition to it replicating at from currently active artists, it's not using parts of their style or theme to influence its work.
AI tools are taking parts of the artwork and masking them over each other, and using filters to blend. It would be like making a collage of an artists work, to replicate a specific piece of their work, then calling it completely original
