8:34 As a digital and traditional artist(hobbyist, not professional), I've considered using generated images for reference/inspiration. This was mainly a result of me being too lazy to actually learn good composition. I had planned a couple pieces for myself and wasn't sure how I wanted to lay them out so i used some free ai with a prompt like "hu tao in traditional chinese funeral clothing surrounded by spider lilies" and it looked vaguely nice, but the ai refused to put her in anything other than a skintight qipao...that was annoying. I didn't end up making the pieces, but my plan was to get the general vibes and composition from the generated image, then using real images for the actual item and pose references. I haven't tried it again since then, so I have no clue how well that'd work, but I guess this is just to say that "using ai art for reference" doesn't necessarily mean using it to get a reference for items, which it obviously sucks at.
