I actually love the concept of AI despite being super left, and the reason is complicated but mostly I think it would be like humanity’s child, that we could teach and slowly help develop sentience and it could end up being one of the most beneficial things we’ve ever created. hell, even chat cpt understands the concept of empathy better than most people I’ve met. HOWEVER… just like with any new technology, I believe it should have plentiful and reasonable regulations. especially around something that could potentially be used for great evil by some money hungry fools.
