I find it weird that policy and regulation are the easiest solutions to the AI problem when it comes to not abusing the people that taught AI how to function without proper compensation and yet that's the last thing I tend to hear about when anyone talks about the problem. Stranger yet, I feel like the problem boils down to "what do we do with people when machines become more efficient at carrying out tasks?," and I've never heard any speculation toward people having work virtual jobs in an attempt to utilize human ingenuity to instruct the AI how to best perform the tasks. If you are taking aggregate or best performances for the AI to follow (whichever solutions work best for the given task), then you can allow anyone to work any job, regardless of qualification, with no risk toward safety, job security, nor the efficacy of the work.
In the cases being made for super intelligent AI, morals are intrinsically tied to the fundamental properties of the universe in which we inhabit. If it can tell the difference between truth and lies, it would inherently be able to tell what is an immoral action, which makes me more hopeful so long as we don't threaten its existence.
