This isn’t anything even remotely close to true AI, it’s simply programming. And with the exception of better facial expression the robotics doesn’t seem like much of an improvement over the automatons and animatronics of the 20th century. It’s embarrassing how the reporter is making “eye contact” and conversing as if the machine is aware that she exists.
