One thing people are not talking about is how AI is dependant on a gigantic long supply chain that can be broken pretty easily... while you can drop two humans anywhere in the world and they can survive and reproduce. AI and humanoids are exponentially more vulnerable. Yes they can disrupt and damage but they can not as easily survive because in their mechanical form its exponentially harder for them to reproduce. They would have to be biological to be a real threat. They could however modify human DNA to create a more significant threat.
