There is an uncanny resemblance to the AI's creativity (hallucinations) and the human creativity and ability to make things up and portend them as fact. We humans have this ability to manufacture ideas as something to believe in. This becomes a belief system. Are we witnessing the beginning of a belief system in the AI? The hallucinations was not intentional in the AI algorithms but it has manifested as a side affect of the weights and biases due to the neural network algorithms. The thing is we see very similar behavior in humans. So there is a uncanny resemblance of something not intended but as a consequence of the design of something, such as our ego and logic pathways.
